Safety Bay bustin' up....

JohnF's CHOONAH post and his talk of bird action inspired me to post this bit of footage from Friday night just off Waikiki beach.
Couldn't resist mosing over to see what all the fuss was about but whatever it was that was chomping into them wasn't small so this was about as close as I was getting.
Don't blink but or you'll miss it. Only got a short bit of usable stuff as conditions were pretty sloppy.
About 45 secs. of vid.

I was fishing off the beach
I was fishing off the beach there Thursday night the bait school was probably 30-40m offshore I sore a few nice salmon around 60-70cm and a few small tuna around 30-40cm jumping through I'm pretty sure there was a few small bronzes there too . I put out a few tailor fillets and just kept getting keen bite offs through 80lb fluro after 5-10second runs good sight to see the bait coming back in though should be a good year for Mackies and tuna off the beach again

Have seen waves and waves of shark mackerel, literally hundreds and a handful of spaniards just outside warnbro sound before. Its a really promising area once the bait moves in

I was out chasing a feed of Herring so best I had on board was a small flick rod with a 10gm Halco twistsy.
I had a couple of casts just for fun but whatever the baitfish were were holed up under a big pile of floating weed so as soon as the lure hit the water it was fouled up.
@Freediverspida - I reckon there was a Bronzie or two in this mix. Every couple of minutes there was a serious splash on the surface that was something bigger than a Tuna or Salmon, although they were'nt breaking the surface as Bronzies sometimes do.
Don't know if you saw this a few years back www.perthnow.com.au/news/western-australia/more-than-100-sharks-spotted-near-warnbro-beach/story-e6frg13u-1226012458302 . This was pretty much in that exact same spot.
