It a joke! ( well not

Thu, 2018-11-08 16:57

It a joke! ( well not really). So the latest from the Council is that they will soon be paying nine hundred thousand dollars to Contractors to re-dredge the Channel.

Yep- what can you possible say with this hopeless situation...no wonder I drink! lol.

And the Environmental Authority will not allow relocation /or new ramp along the Safety Bay Foreshore.

So...when will the Council decide- Enough is Enough?

2 other beach launches

Thu, 2018-11-08 18:15

In the bay. It's a no brainer . Put jetty on one closer to pengo. Never going to stop sand bank hitting shore. They made it build up more by putting sand on pengo from point peron. It was 1 to 2 feet deep through markers

Get all windsurfers

Thu, 2018-11-08 19:47

To chip fee in . Remove jetty . Windsurf area only. No I don't wind surf. Put jetty on beach launch area. Port Kennedy ramp dangerous. Looks like point peron going to cop a flogging this year.they blocked causeway of . Have to be in jet ski club to get key to get down beach. Be good spot for them to put ramps ect.( jumps) Good s/west winds. No sharks. Bring money in to local area/ prob make more local jobs also.

Not sure if the 900k figure

Sat, 2018-11-10 10:36

Not sure if the 900k figure is correct - at least all of our local ramps are still free to use - that's a good thing isn't it?

FFS we're challenging nature here - who could have predicted what has happened with Tern Island when the infrastructure was put in place years ago.

For all the whinging that goes on, in the 25 years I've lived here not once have I not been able to go out in my boat because of the state of the ramps in the Rockingham shire.

I don't know how the northerners do it - they've got what, Hillarys, Mindarie and Ocean Reef to service basically the whole of the north of Perth.

We've got the choice of SIX ramp locations within about a ten minute drive of each other.

I consider myself very fortunate to live in such an awesome place with so much ocean goodness on my doorstep.

 Why don't they turn old

Tue, 2018-12-11 07:07

Why don't they turn old Safety bay jetty carpark into a boat ramp. They got toilets there and can incorporate the other carpark on yacht club side for trailer parking, then put car park on otherside of yacht club using carpark at end of waimea st as access road.

That would be stupid idea

Tue, 2018-12-11 12:24

To much parking there ,rangers couldn't bust so many people. Also council wouldnt have to spend heaps of money clearing it every year.
