Coventry Reef looked good
As Ol Yella said, Coventry is worth a shot. Tried our hearts out over the weekend to no avail, but lots going on around us. Maybe it was the banana muffins that some nice person bought on board for morning tea......

When u fish for salmon by boat do you trawl first then? Or just keep an eye out for schools and cast?

Gezz old post this one, but
Gezz old post this one, but nothing wrong with recycling.
Usually casting once you spot the school...boats or birds etc but nothing wrong with having a trawl while looking. Coventry reef mentioned above along with a few other breaking spots is worth a try.

Salmon run update
best to sight a school work out what way your drifting, then try to drift into them, they get a bit boat shy, when the motor is running. cheer Don.

We've trolled them up at
We've trolled them up at Rotto when there are no boats or birds around so it doesn't hurt to have a couple of lures out. Sometimes get southern bluefin tuna too.
