Saltiga

I have  a Z4500H Saltiga , not the new model but still a great reel , I use it for light jigging and plastics . Its alot cheaper than the new Saltiga's and there should be some around.I  would like a 6500 size new Saltiga but will wait and see how they go as with all new products it may take a little time for issues to arise.

Stella should be cheaper by a fair margin, saltiga 4500 is a bit bigger, so a fair comparison would be 4000 salti or stella 5000. I bought the 4000, lovely reel, mate has the stella, nice as well but i went the 4000 as I did not want the high speed of the stella. jigging - buy the saltiga, popping/spin, buy whichever is the better deal

The 4500H is a lot bigger

The 4500H is a lot bigger than the 5000sw, and is better suited to Pe4. The 4500 is a good all round reel, but the 4000 would probably be my choice.

A mate brought the 4000

A mate brought the 4000 yesterday. So he said i could borrow that when ever i needed to!!! Thats why im thinking 4500h or 4500? I have a 3500h seagate already, so with a 4500 or h i have all bases with the lighter end reels covered really....

Have ruled out the stella5000sw

The 4000 salty would be the best option.

I would probly look at the low speed model however if you are going to be jigging and using plastics

I also should of stated that

I also should of stated that is was for catching big Sambos and the likes on big plastics, and jigheads possibly up to 4  / 6 even maybe 8oz when the weathers up, and jigs to 250/300g max....

Also i bought the 4000 for a mate yesterday and was a little to small for my needs!!! Plus im going to Exmouth soon so thought the 4500h would cover all basis?

Would i be right in saying the 4500h is whats suited best to my needs?

Might just get them both tomorrow then hahaha... love christmas time!!!

Thanks for all your replys guys.... Much appreciated..........

It's like Holden or Ford, everyone has their favourite,

Personally I love Stella.

Also some technical, unbiased info.  http://www.stripersonline.com/surftalk/showthread.php?t=768370

If you intend spending a fair whack on either reel, this is a good read.
