Saltists?

Hi, has anyone had much experience fishing with the Saltist spinning reels? Im looking at one for bottom bashing off Point Samson when my boat arrives from the states. New boat, need new gear. These look pretty sturdy and can hold a fair bit of line. And easy to use for visitors...

It would be ok, I have caught lots of big fish on mine as I use it for high speed spinning pelagics.

As cudbfishn said high speed for bottom bashing isnt ideal

If its for visitors save yourself some money and get a penn 850 for about $100 which will be more suitable and pretty much unbreakable

Yeah i think they may still be on sale locally (getaway outdoors) for $89, which is dirt cheap, and as rig said they are practically unbreakable.
