SCARP POOL

Has anyone tried fishing at Scarp pool towards Dwellingup?
I have fished the murray on the other side of dwellingup and decided to take a drive around some tracks including Scarp rd, on the pinjarra side of dwellingup. I found Scarp pool and has never heard of it before. Its on the murray so is open waters all year round, just wondered if there was any fish there?

you should be able to pick up
you should be able to pick up redfin all through that system.

Hi mate I have caught redfin perch along that whole river system. I just use a light set up. I have a shimano seinna and sonic pro rod with 6 lb line and away ago much of the river system i have fished from a kayak with a few close mates. I try fish on sunnies days as i find the redfin always hide in the snags and shadows and are much easier to lure out as they can see the lures better and you will get a better strike. They are very predatorial and can have up to 5-10 fish follow your lure. they will have a crack at almost any lures / soft plastic from my experiences. Hope this helps cheers.

Thats great I was looking at putting my yak in somewhere round there do you have a good launch spot Scarp pool seemed a bit steep to launch.
