Got this in about 20m of water near Garden Island, I'm pretty sure it's a scorpion fish but having never seen one I can't be positive! Cheers.

We call them for Scorpions .. and handle with care , others have mentioned they taste alright , but we throw the fugly things back ..

Hah, they must love white placcys. My mate got like 6 of them on a white zman shad yesterday

It's definitely a gurnard it's colour depends on the habitat it lives in
shut up and fish
They're good eating too if your game enough to clean them without getting stung.
