If you have looked deeper and looked at material available from alternative news sites leaning more to the right of politics, such as WikiLeaks, Project Veritas, FoxNews, etc ... then you may realise just how corrupt Hillary Clinton and those around her are.
Meanwhile Hillary Clinton (& Bill Clinton) have rarely been asked about their numerous corrupt and unsavoury affairs (eg. Hillary's private Email server containing classified information, deleting Email evidence, misappropriation of billions of dollars in the Clinton Foundation and numerous incidents of Pay to Play, lying under oath, their 20 to 30 visits to Jeffrey Epstein's pedophile island, campaign manager John Podesta's Pedophile Emails, Hillary's PA Huma Abedin's perverted ex husband Weiner's sexting to 15year old girl, ... and it goes on and on and on).
And for the record, the vast majority of White Males 35years+ with a household income of $35k or more voted for Trump.
Hillary's demographics relied heavily on non-white, single females and below 35year olds.

The plebiscite outcome wouldn't matter either way, the final decision still rests with the governemet even if it was favourable for them they could just turn around and say no we won't change the law. By the way I beleive they should have the choice to marry, there's some very good gay families out there better managing than a lot of hetro one's. Actually my Mrs is a very good egg but a lot of my mate's just cop it 28/7, dunno how they squeeze an extra 4 hours of anguish into the day but they manage it. The highlight of my week is the weekly 6pr call back drongos ringing in to say that gay marriage is going to make their marriage meaningless or something along those lines. That being said I would almost be tempted to vote no because of the militant way the gay lobby has rammed the issue down our throuts (in a manner of speech).
What they should be worried about is the fact that my Wifes best friend growing up has a female partner and they had a baby via a turkey baster (I got the full story) and whilst one was on a very good full time wicket, the other was claiming full benefits from Centrelink including rent assistance. I believe this has been tightened up in recent years though.

I studied human biology at uni and my brother studied marine biology and the highlight of our week used to be when some religious nut knocked on the door trying to spread the good word. One of them was quite insistent and came back 4 times with new arguements only to be shot back down in flames each and every time.
I had to laugh earlier this year when a bunch of priests got together to try get the children out of offshore detention and into their care. Fucken seriously? They'd be safer being sent to the ISIS heartlands.

Try feeding over 7 billion people on diminishing arable land. Sure our records are only roughly a hundred years or so old but there are measures that can look back further, such as borehole drilling through various layers. It doesn't tell you individual years but you can get a good estimate for long term temperature ranges during particular time frames. There are also measuring tree rings, ocean sediment, coral growth etc that can give you figures. The evidence points to now been warmer than any point during the last 100,000 years and its changing fast.
