Some kind of whaler? As for the weight... I'm not too good at estimating weights.

Glutton for punishment
You are a glutton for punishment Gully.
Nice capture mate. No pain - No gain.

Afterdarks
Well done Gully .I love putting the hurt on big afterdarks!! Will try and dig up some old footage to post .Using a standup harness makes the job a bit easier and transfers the hurt from you to them

man in the grey suit
nice effort may need to invest in a nicer harness. by the looks of the back tips may be a long nosed grey. but if thats the case shed be fully grown.

Long nosed grey
Yeah felt a bit tired after that one. Is fun to look back on but at the time was a bit ordinary. Really I was hoping for one of the 5ft cobias that were swimming around under the baitball but still I knew what was going to happen.
Well THE GERMAN got it in one - it is indeed a long-nosed grey and is as big as they are noted to get.
Nice pick on the rod to Nealez. Gotta love ugly sticks even used back to front. I have put that rod through absolutely everything and it still goes strong, even though it is meant for a spinning reel.
Cheers
