Shark Time 2 - Underwater footage
Submitted by Adam Gallash on Tue, 2006-09-19 17:32
You guys wanted more underwater footage, so here it is. Just remember, this isn't taken in an aquarium! :) Hope you enjoy. I have lowered the quality as it is quite a long video, if you want me to upload a higher quality version, let me know and I will put it up. Cheers.

sharks that size make good bait .bit of a bastard to slice and dice ,but ya dont end up will scales everywhere.stays on the hook good even when skinned

Chilled out
This is meant to be a bit more of a chilled out video. I thought about adding the jaws music, but thought it was better this way. Swimming through the reefs you notice how many sharks there really are, you also see the suprise from Ewan when he follows a small shark, sees a medium - no probs, then a solid 7 footer swims through close and you see him jump. Thought that was pretty classic and worth leaving in there.

Yeah fair enough. Was Ewan wearing dive gear or just snorkel gear?

bait
give it crack jay .bit messy and ya knives cop it but ya end up with a heap .we usualy dice up the whole lot and bag it ,only leaving enough on the bait board to use at the time .then keep bringing it out of the esky nice and cold and fresh as needed.ive caught a fair few good coral trout on shark

Sharks
Ewan and Jay were actually burley boy on that occasion - nice fresh tuna heads + fish guts + shallow water = sharks.
Was good fun and it really makes you see how they are actually scared of you. Although I was always aware of how far I had strayed from the boat!

Snorkel
Yeah just snorkelling the whole time...SCUBA is too slow I reckon...
Just for the record - no burleying in open water, and there were spears and spotters at the ready whilst Gully was insisting we keep burleying!!
