Looking smicko ..just a bit worried the esky might go walkies ..is there alternate fastening points further forward and maybe seatbelting be better than occy straps.. where's Beau ?? ..well done , looks good be hanging to get her out I bet
I have a similar set up with a smaller esky I use a strap to hold the back down and the front is shackledto the tow hook I have travelled at full speed and no problems You will need to put a lanyard to hold your rods in I did not put holders on the back as you will probably find them toohard to access The rod holders on the front on mine are more upright and if i troll i just hold the rod It all works pretty well for me Good luck mate
It is attached to the tow bolt with a turnbuckle. And I have replaced the straps with stronger rubber ones...just put the other ones on for the photo as I didn't have anything else. Im really itching to take her out! Going out from mindarie tomorrow morning as the weather is looking good. Any is welcome to join!
I've caught a couple pinkies from the ski now, I use plastics my favorite at the moment are 9inch zman Grubz and the biggest size squidgie wrigglers, both have long curly tails that seem to turn the pinks on as I usually get hit when letting it sink to the bottom after casting. All my pinkies have come from the sand close to structure, I've never actually caught one over reef yet. Dhuies well that is just persistence and time on the water I've only caught one underside one again on plastics.
I lost 5 shark macks last week from the ski on various lures casting into bust ups, south of the river. Had schools of them swimming under the ski with a couple Spaniards but they were staying deeper and harder to target

Was thinking the same, Chris...
What would stop the esky from doing a backflip into the drink? Especially with the trollers adding more backwards force....
