Snapper FFB need advice

Hi guys I am heading out there tomorrow arvo from Dawesville and are unsure where to anchor up for an arvo of snapper fishing. I am not asking for anyones hot spots just some pointers on how far I need to be out?

How long is a piece of string lol? I'd probably start around 5kms-10kms but they can be anywhere. Quite a few big Sharks about about at the moment in very close as well as out further and they're making it hard to find or land quality fish.
