Snorkeling Peak Island

Wondering if any have snorkeled out around peak?
Up in Exmouth in a weeks time and planning on a snorkel day out there.
Assume the toothies are out there in numbers?
Any suggestions on which side would be best for a good snorkel (The missus is coming along too!) so will stick fairly shallow.
Cheers

The shallow stuff has got
The shallow stuff has got patches of coral all around Bodie. South East corner is fairly good from memory. I'd just see what the current is doing when you get there and then snorkel in the slackest area if its a comfortable dive you are after. On the other hand if you want to see pelagics head out to 40m on the up current side of the island and drift up to it...!

The sharks are very attentive
The sharks are very attentive there, take something to prod them with. I should mention that they were very friendly before we even shot anything.
Drifiting up through the break is fun, it was crawling with fusiliers and things looking to eat them.

As Till said, the sharks are red hot at peak. Maybe have a look at sunday island on the way over, is sanctuary zone so the fergals might not be as bad.

im nto a big fan of any
im nto a big fan of any shark, but i can put up with them... others in our group who dont often get in the water are a different story.
Sunday Island sounds like it would be worth a look.
Am taking the spear gun, but mainly for a little bit of a deterrant from the sharks, and only if a nice trout was seen would we think about spearing a fish.
Last year we jumped in off Bundegi for a snorkel, was a good swim, saw a couple of bronzies, but nothing serious.
