Couldnt help but see them behind FFB offshore of Garden Island.....not large schools but their backs were breaking the surface. Also saw my first turtle of the season, a really big and slow moving s.o.b. .......brought back memories of a smashed outboard leg after hitting one in much the same area.

turtle
i seen a big one just outside of passage rock a few years ago. they come down with leewuin current and year they get big. Not sure if the are green turtles or some other breed.
Mud crabbing at Balla Balla a really big one went under the tinnie, it was near 6 foot long and would have no problems breaking an outboard leg.
never seen one diving on the five ever nor any big sharks.

Seing a few schools out of Mindarie and landed a couple, not sure on type though, very aggressive and were on the hunt.
Also saw a big leatherback beyond Rotto a few years back, prehistoric looking bloody thing and huge.
