Perhaps ask Lucky Tim or Saltiga.x, they're both crow eaters!

When are you going?

Sat, 2010-12-25 16:12

Hey mate, depends what time of year you are going? You can go to Coffin Bay for big LB salmon, or get a charter for bIIIg YTK in Coffin Bay. North to Tumby Bay for biig KGW's. Like Tim said Arno bay or Pt Neill for big snapper. A lot of decisions will depend on what time of year you head over there.

Snapper

Snapper would be from Oct - Jan Feb.

Just remember they have a snapper ban on during November so take that into consideration with planning your trip.

If I was to be in S.A at anytime I would make it coincide with the bluefin run, so maybe look at Port Lincoln. Just what I would do...

Just like Jordan496 said if you are in Port Lincoln then head out on 'why not' fishing charters. They do a variety of 1 day and several day overnighters out to greenly island and also a couple of other islands like wedge island. Mostly big kings, samsons and tuna when they are on the run. You will also pick up nanygai and big snapper on the drops.

If you are looking for other options then Arno bay is a good option for chasing big snapper, especially on soft placcies on light spin gear. They get them thick out on the wrecks and drops some days and they can nudge the 15 kilo mark.  Ash Smith runs Arno Bay fishing adventures and he will look after you.

Yeh guys the shark swim will

Sat, 2010-12-25 22:15

Yeh guys the shark swim will be in port lincoln so i will be staying there. I have had a look at the "why not" charter and it looks like good fun all i need to know is when is the best time for the big momma tuna but then i see other charters with mass amounts of large pink snapper. Although snapper are fun i think i would enjoy big bluefin and kingys more.
