Hi all

Has anyone fished on the south west bank?
Is it worth a fish? what have you caught on it?
Any info appreciated.
Thanks

SW bank gets alot of pressure but the outer areas still produce fish!

There's a few SOR FW members that fish it, i dont much anymore but maybe they can help!

on the bank it can be pretty snaggy, alot of area that come up in huge numbers on the sounder, i prefer to fish someof the areas around a 1km or so away from it, the western edge is good, and i have pulled a few good dhuies on the estern edge about a km away, also trolling around it will produce mackerel and tuna, from the bank its then only 10ks out to the 90's which produce good fish and after you hit the 50m line the depth drops off pretty quick and alot of good ground from 60m and onWink

these guys are right the banks gets hammered . my advice is if u have a good sounder, work the edges,i took some crew out last week way beyond the banks, there must have been around 10 boats scattered on the banks, alot of sweep and small coral fish but also a lot of reds snap etc.and do exactly wot bill says.. i go out some days and just sound ground, handy living here.. but if ur limited to time, then have a crack mate.. over the yrs i have caught some nice fish out there..these days i prefer to fish further out etc.. let us know how you go..me personally this weekend will be going out from canals good conditions but u need to have ground.. good luck<<i cant wait til saturday ..
