Stella handle issues

I was reading on another website of issues some anglers were having with the rubber handles on the Stellas and other Shimano reels. Apparently the rubber is becoming tacky and breaking down as a result of coming into contact with maybe inox, gulp juice or sunscreen. Another person commented that the rubber soft keys in his Furuno sounder was suffering a similar complaint.
Anyone here had similar problems?

Yes I had the septon grip on
Yes I had the septon grip on my stradic changed out due to this...just figured I had worn it out.
The Older I get the better I was :-)
