Stolen boat RECOVERED!!!
Got the call this arvo from Warwick detectives with the news ive been waiting 3 weeks to hear...they have recovered my boat.
Was recovered from a property in gingin (that is only info i have been given) and a person has been charged with recieving stolen goods.
Damage report so far: Missing e pirb, canopy and plastics torn off, slight trailer damage and few bits and bobs missing.
sounder and gps recovered most of my tackle still there and no electronic damage that i have noticed so far. Was worried ignition system would have been tampered with as the keys are with me at all times. This also tells me they havent run my engine thank god.
Forensics spent the arvo brushing for prints so there is black dust over the entire boat. Besides looking like its been through a war zone the basics are still there and with a couple days love and affection and a few dollars it will be slaying dhuies in no time. oh yeah all numbers and hin plates removed.
just wanna give a big thanks to the Police department for their efforts and everyone else that kept an eye out. The police really did go above and beyond to find it. One Sargent (dont need to mention his name he knows who he is) kept me up to date and wanted the boat back as much as me...he is very keen boatsman. looking forward to having a beer and sharing some fishing stories with him in the near future.
Anyways off to Lano in the am to hunt some fish on a friends boat. Will post pictures on my return.
i will leave you with some pictures of what looks like a train wreck...tight lines guys!

Stoked!
Awes news joe. You would have been stoked to get that call mate. Very lucky!
Make sure you post up any details of how they tracked it down and caught the cunse. It would be interesting to see if any help from the fishing community or fw assisted in their capture.
Hope you can (somehow) get some $$$$$ from them to pay for repairs.

Great news Joe!
Really pleased you've got your pride n joy back.
I dread this happening to mine! I have hitch lock and a wheel clamp, but still wonder if I should invest in a commercial pop-up bollard that means the boat cant move forward unless the would-be a*sehole thieves pull up half my driveway trying to shift it!
Anyway, bloody glad you got it back.
Cheers.

Great News indeed
So she needs some TLC ATM, but nothing a good soap and water wont fix. Certainly dusted her up well.

that is sensational, Ive been out at sea out of range for a few days and this is the first thread I saw on here as we come back into Dampier.
Chuffed for ya mate.
Your boat on the outside looks like my TCraft after a couple of days bouncing off the tyres over at the islands! They dont have to be a showpony

Great result, Joe
I've been hoping to hear that you've got your boat back, but after not hearing anything for a couple of weeks, I was starting to think the worst. Anyway, fantastic result and well done to the police and everyone out there who was keeping an eye out for it.
I can only imagine what you've been going thru these past few weeks, but now you can concentrate on getting out there in your boat....may there be fish on your line real soon.

Dont forget to clean and check the fuel system. I had a boat stolen once and got it back only to find out the fuel had been drained. Only on the water too...

cheap tracker
ref Spycity tracker, I was quoted $1395 for very similar setup (different brand) recently for the boat, that's a good price.
Especially the geo fencing, if you're in bed or at work and the boat moves past the geo fence the device will notify you it's on the move, jump on the net to track it, call the cops and they can meet n greet them......
Would be surprised if there isn't an insurance discount for having one of these things
thanks till, I'll look into it further.
