Bastards, sorry to hear that
Have the cops been around and looked for prints etc.
As has been said above with a bit of luck they may be able to get a match.
These no stopping these pieces of excrement these days, coming into your room whilst your asleep in it is bloody brazen, and dangerous for you and for them.
What where the dogs doing, did they wake you or start carrying on barking and such.

Scum! They deserve a hard
Scum! They deserve a hard overdose and hope they get it! Same thing happened to my cousin few years back. Took his car keys of his bedside table while he was asleep. Pushed one car out of the way and pushed his car down the road before starting it and driving off. Coppers took a day and a half to come check it out. They found the car two weeks later after i spotted it and after they used it in a few chemist robs with a boot and backseat full of used syringes.

Not sure about the dump him in the middle of the road sea kem
The least you could do for his burglar troubles and effort is give him a lift to the middle of bum fark nowhere. Somewhere like the middle of the gnangara pines with his feet cable tied together would be a nice gesture!

Saw on the news the other
Saw on the news the other day that a father and son got charged for citizen arrest of a burglar, for using excessive force to subdue the scumbag. Can't remember if that's Mandurah or Rocko.
Can't get my head around why is the law protecting this kind of arsewipe ?
I am thinking if you woke up and ended punching his lights out, will you get charged ?
Stupid law!

The only way it will change
The only way it will change is if these scumbags walk into a judges house or pollies house and put their families in danger. Until then the general public will keep getting fingered and government officials will get ritcher and junkies will get higher. Hence why you gotta beat the hell outta them and dump em without calling the law.

Agree that laws should be
Agree that laws should be relaxed when it comes to defending from home invasions but to again be the devils advocate.....excessive force is just that. it's about justice. punishment should fit crime
remember something about a case where a young kid (14ish) ended up in hospital with permanent sight damage cos he was bashed to hard for trying to steal someones iphone. yes he was breaking and entering but I would hate to see Aust go the way of USA where it's justifiable to kill some kid for breaking in and trying to steal some alcohol or similar.

Stop the revolving door
I agree with what you're saying about excessive force but in the example of the 14yo kid - it would be interesting to see if his permament reminder of his crime has prevented him from re-offending vs another 14yo who was simply given a slap on the wrist and a stern talking to. Everyone makes mistakes but if the deterrent to re-offend isn't there we're not going to change their behaviour

Just because a penalty stops
Just because a penalty stops someone from committing a crime in the future doesn't mean justice has been done.
but yeah don't get me wrong I would like to see the penalties for home invasion upped and get rid of the "revolving door" as well.
have been there....had home invasion who assaulted me. was caught straight after by very efficient police who worked hard made an excellent case. then the magistrate sentenced him to ....NOTHING. didn't have to pay for damages, no fine, absolutely nothing.

thing is this ''attitude ''
thing is this ''attitude '' that many have in our society today to disrespect others and the law is being fuelled to alarge degree by the ''PC brigade that is now an entrenched way of thinking to any misconduct
its not their fault because of ..A B C D, E ETC
everyone wants rights , but few want to own their responsibilitys , lets blame someone else ,
the current ''attitude '' of society that it is someone elses fault /responsibility is being sponged up by every new generation of kids and warped a little bit more each time pushing the boundarys ever downwards to disrespecting ''others ''inclucing the law
imo corporal and capitol punishement should be brought back ,
the violence, and renegade aggresion/ drugs we all like to watch on our screens at some time has become the new norm and is accepted
as part of ''normal society ''
our police are hamstrung & frustrated by it , courts are weakened by it , many in our upcoming & current generations act out on it
we need to adopt a tougher line on making people responsible for their own actions and it starts from a very young age

I used to work in a rec
I used to work in a rec centre that was frequented by underaged youths 10-14 who used to smash our patron's windows and we'd call the Police who'd come out and basically tell us there is nothing they can do about it. After a period of time we decided we'd give them chase across the big oval adjacent to the centre and absolutely spear tackle them into the turf and hold them until the Police came. The Police could still do stuff all but eventually they got sick of being slammed and the breakins all but stopped.

Couldn't agree more.If I did
Couldn't agree more.
If I did something wrong as a kid It was soon sorted out with a quick slap...it did hurt a little but it was probably more the shock factor that got me. Plus at school if you f*#ked up you would get the cane !
Nearly all my mates have turned out to be great people (there will always be the odd one though hahaha) it did absolutely no harm and taught us the basic wrong from right and to respect the elders. I have done ok from that I think....I survived with no f*&ken "disorder" or "excuse" put to my name.
Unfortunately the little prics these days do something wrong and people look for a "reason" why they behaved like this ??
As a result they never seem to learn wrong from right and most importantly ....respect other people !
My fishing spots are so secret........... even the fish don't know where they are !!

Haha that's reserved for dire circumstances. I've actually got my red oak boken for single or a pair of intruders outside and my red oak tonfa for any instruders within the house as they are much better for close combat in confined spaces. I've also got the 2004 open woman's black belt karate champion laying next to me.

Not at all. That letter in the
Not at all.
That letter in the corner is from Murray Rance after the Windy Hill Massacre. My nanna used to write the WCE letters during the equally disastrous 1989 season telling them to keep their heads up and after the mauling at Windy Hill that year the club sent her a signed t shirt along with the letter.
During 2010 after beating cancer 3 times my Pop was diagnosed with terminal cancer and given months to live.
I wrote to Woosha and reminded him of all the times my nanna had written to them in their darkest days and asked if they could write her in hers. Woosha sent her a letter and the signed poster.
Pop won the battle for another 4 years and in the end his heart gave way but he wanted me to have the letter, poster and tshirt and as such I now proudly have a wooden spoon winning team poster on my wall in my bedrrom.

Thanks everyone, nothing's
Thanks everyone, nothing's been found yet but I've been notified of the possibilty some of my gears on Facebook buy/sell pages so just trying to track that down and hope things turn up.
Sneaky little c&$t managed to jar open a door from my room to out front slightly and sneak the rods out before I woke. Keys were on the bench in the kitchen so the ballsy pricks somehow got in and grabbed them, past 2 Rottweilers he distracted with food. 530am in the morning too, 2 of us were up getting ready for work.

Gutted for you bloke. Good news is that the high end fishing gear normally finds its way back to the owner from what I've seen as not many of their junky mates can afford it so it ends up at Cashies
