We are going to head out in the dark towards Rottnest on Sunday morning, hopefully get at least half way there before the sun starts coming up, then head back in around midday, maybe catch a few squid on the way in! Magic.
Couldn't wait so went today, was pretty rough at 9am with 20+kn ESE. Could barely find anything. One enormous bait school with big boys below but couldn't tempt them. Apart from that the sounder barely saw anything. Ended up with a few gurnets but no keepers. Was bloody nice after 12pm when the wind dropped. Trolled for a couple hours but wasn't my day. Still good fun though:)
Headed out on Saturday to my normal whiting spot, not much luck in the end, would have had close to 50 undersize flat head and heaps of wrasse with hardly a whiting in there, don't know if we were drifting just a bit to fast for them or if the chop put them off.

Your Seabreeze is on
Your Seabreeze is on drugs!
I am finding Meteye on the Bom.gov.au site is very good and it suggests morning easterlies before a thumping Seabreeze at lunchtime.

Seabreeze is wrong most of the time
I watch it [wind] on seabreeze very closely as our pots are a long way out and rought riding in the slop isn't fun.
Seabreeze not for me..better to walk outside and have a look
