Sunday night at woodies

Went down to woodies for a fish tonight
To get a few fish i thought i might
Tried for a while with no avail
The baits all come back without a tail
Theres lots of them blue swimmers about
They were hungry without a doubt
Shoulder to shoulder all along the jetty
Things werent looking all that pretty
People were leaving one by one
Chances of a fish were next to none
I kept on casting through the night
In the end i left without even a bite.
The pesky little snook were out in droves
I went home without a fishy smell on my clothes

That's why it's called
That's why it's called fishing not catching
Can hear the banjo tuning in
Old fishermen never die they just smell that way.
