had a quick flick down the river yesterday afternoon.
flicked some minnows arround on the flats and worked some vibes and softplastics in the deeper water.
good results. nothing huge.
ended up with 5 bream, lots of herring, some trumpeter, two whiting and a nice flattie arround 50cm.
also got some rare southern blue nose bream... lol ;)
most the fish were coming from the flats.
got a couple of pics mucking arround with the camera.
for those who don't know, the bream turn a florescent blue colour arround the mouth and tail when they eat the mussels off he hull of a boat that is painted blue!!!!
the mussels absorb the blue and when the bream eat the mussels, they turn a cool blue colour.... so what i heard!! :)
cheers,
tom

great examples of bluenose bream aussie breamer...'mucking around' with the camera certainly paid off. I always understood bluenose bream were a result of age and subsequent size. However I am always up to learn new stuff.

Yes, big old 40cm+ bream do turn a "blueish" colour in the nose/head area, but bream in general at any age/size can turn blue from the boats.
