Talica 12 one speed

My eldest boy is looking to grab one of these as a general purpose jigging, bottom bouncing reel to fit to a Venom PE 3 - 8 overhead. Is this overkill and is there any other reel that would be suitable that would be priced perhaps a little better ? He will probably run PE5 or up. Obviously too much Xmas money !

cheers

He has got it exactly right.

amazing reel, strong, light for its power, easy to use and well priced.

if he gets other will regret in my opinion.

I have one on a Venom pe 2-5 and love it. Pulled some big fish in and handled it easily, beautifully balanced as well

Cheers for the feedback guys. Picked up the Talica 12 from Compleat Angler in Nedlands today. Thanks to the boys there, who went out of their way to get one in for us and then give us the best price in town.

Now to try it out ........ Thursday looks good.
