What is the Future of WA's Marine Environment?
Western Australia is recognised internationally for its rich marine and coastal biodiversity. Climate change, population growth and increasing industrial, social and economic development continue to put pressure on our precious marine ecosystems in a way we have never experienced before.
What approach do we need to take to ensure the conservation of our iconic marine species and ensure appropriate long term management of the WA marine environment?

I just heard something on the radio
about the standardisation of fish names across Australia. The full report is stil to come, but there was something about snapper being known as pinkfish (or something similar) across Australia, and that Mulloway will be known as mulloway across the country, and they will not be labelled as jewfish as they are more commonly called in the eastern states.

Let me guess. The
Let me guess. The conservation groups are going to stop the last 10% of Seagrass in Cockburn sound which provides the breeding grounds, food, and ecological currents for juvenille Jewfish, Snapper and many other species to breed.
Nope, the word spatial would be that they want to close to fishermen 30% of the ocean which would be all the productive fishing grounds.
Misguided souls they are.
Hypocrites, the lot of them.
