Tiger Shark, any good on the tooth ?
smashed out at lunchtime yesterday as conditions were too good to pass up,
left hillarys and headed slightly north to a spot near the shelf were we managed a few baldies last time
was very quite and kept persiting on the same drift patturn for a few hours dropping cubes along the way.
then my rod buckled over n it was on , thinking this was the 15kg duey i have been waiting for all of my life
but this thing didnt want to give up , then my mind was leaning towards a stinking shark.
once we saw some colour and got him up turned out to be a 2mtr Tiger that just didnt want to give up.
after many runs and half an hour fighting i gave up and snapped the rig at the side of the boat so he can live to fight another day
but i do want to know, do they taste like shit or are they ok on the tooth if bled striaght away and eaten fresh ?
cheers steve

It's just Ok
We kept one at about 5 foot, so well under the max size for whalers.
It certainly was no gummy or whiskery on the chew.
IMO edible, but just ok.

Small ones are ok but once over the 4 foot mark they are pretty ordinary
