Tired of crays already - is the demersal ban over yet?

New day, new crew today, explored some new ground around Garden Island. Freediving in 4-8m, 3 licence holders in total on board.
Not around in huge numbers today, perhaps the fullmoon as something to do with it? Got our boat limit of 24 by 12:30
Chasing fish tomorrow out wide, no more crays!

Posting a picture like that is obscene to us of the great un washed tribe scrambling just to get 1 legal cray. I think there will have to be a law passed prohibiting divers from taking more than 2 crays at any one time.LOL

A few appeared white'ish underwater, but after going into the ice slurry and dying, seemed to return to a more darker red colour.

Lol I pickle mine
2 benefits .1 is plenty of cray heads crushed up ( berley 1 spot) over new few months ready for 15 th. And smash it.2 nd cray ready to eat when you want it. I cut meat out raw.50/50 vin water mix. Salt pepper galic chillie what ever you like .mix up taste mix if you like boil mix. Put cray in big jars( raw meat). Once vin boiling tip mix over cray in jar and put lid on. Instant vac seal lasts for ages . ( if my boys leave it)Works mint on jumbos. Flesh even tastes nice. I also add capcicans chopped up and onions. Good luck hate to be in your situation .:(:(
