Today

woke up this morning at about 4 to leave the house. got on my bike and left by 43o, hoping to arrive at hillaries by 5. luck was not on my side though, crashing twice into bushes. on th second crash i scraped my legs and my bike got a bit scratched. then when i got back up to ride, i realised that my crank on my bike had bent otta shape witch ment i couldnt ride. :(
about 5 minutes later, i called rueben (fishoreub) to tell him id be a bit late and that i had realsied that my ROD HAD BROKEN !!!!!!!!!!
thats 2 rods broken in a week. bad luck for me
i got down there at just after 530 to find reub trying for squid. i had a handline spooled up with 12lb for leader ad tied a squid jig on. we then moved to the north wall and we had no luck. tried with poppers for some fun but nuthing wanted to bite. reuben ended up leaving around 2pm and i was a bout to go when someone i knew came so i continued fishing. time got away from me and before i realised it, it was just before 9pm and dad came to pick me up.
14 HOURS FISHING AND ONLY ONE SKIPPY!!!!!!!!!

hey mate

buy a collapsible bucket from bunnings

100% waterproof and takes up less space when folded up

can easily fit one in a backpack

looks like this

 http://www.bookofjoe.com/images/2gjjjkjlkilli.jpg

used a similar one on my scooter and no more lugging around a plastic bucket

I Got a collapsable PVC

Sun, 2008-12-21 23:19

I Got a collapsable PVC live bait bucket with aerator. Brillaint, Good strong and folds up well. ALL my fishing stuff exept rod and reel fits in my fishing bag. Its like a big tackle box holding shoulder bag that has everything from hard section for phone and what not to leader dispenser, plastics case and rigs sleeves, litterally everything i have fits in there, my SP maggots, my fold up chair YES A BLOODY CHAIR! (3$ from red dot :) those little tripod ones). Get one of these and youl never find lugging crap around hard. Takes 1 trip to the car to fill her up ready to go.

Dude..... make or buy a rod tube..saves heaps of heartache...wether on bike or car!! $30 from bunnings DIY or $30 from any tackleshop...very wise investment!
