The torsa is a good solid

The torsa is a good solid made reel I have the torsa 30 which I run 50lb frog braid I did have the 16 which I did not like so gave it away to a inlaw as for the bionic one thing you will notice is that the colour runs on this stuff so it ends up a pasty pink colour. As for the wilson venom good solid rods I have the spin version that I use with a 6500 dog fight has caught some good solid fish,so if this sort of awnsers your question in a round about way

I didnt think much of this

I didnt think much of this braid from my experience and the reason I chose the 30 over the 16 was spool capacity with the 30 I can jig, bottom bounce and still use for trolling verses the 16 is more limited due to the spool size

Bionic Braid

Tested was the vivid Pink, easily seen. Made in Australia, from Type 75 Dyneema fibres Strand 8 Dy Tested 64.97lb D=.mm 0.369

This is a very nice braid, being an 8 strand it is much more expensive than the normal Bionic braid you see.

The Feel of the line is like silk and very limp. The Breaking strain verses size is V good, one of the best seen. Shape is flattish.

The colour was bright. Testing the line it had some elongation prior to breaking. The weave of the strands are tight and cannot be readily seen, and because its soft it's difficult to separate.

Joining this line to line is a problem as the double Uni and Blood knots slip.

After 6 months use the line came back as a piece of old rope, faded and coarse, not the bright waxy / silky line it was.
It tested similar in thickness (although one end was thicker than the other), but the strength dropped to 53.70lb, that's a long way from the 82.36lb it was, this puts the cat amongst the pigeons.
I am now very disappointed in this brand, as I first thought it was a reasonably good line, but then maybe it was used a little to long.
