Toyota Prado 150 series - Performance Chip upgrade

I’m sure this has probably been done to death in the past, however I’m looking for some feedback from Toyota Prado 150 series owners regarding performance upgrades.

I'm re-locating back to Perth in a few weeks and on arrival I will be purchasing a new 150series 3.0ltr turbo diesel. Has anyone chipped one of these in the past? and if so what is your opinion on the result? Also is there any certainty as to whether Toyota will still honour the warranty?

I’ve also seen that the exhaust system (cat back?) is changed out to a 3” system?

And finally- where is the best place to have this done and any idea of the cost?
Sorry about all the questions.

Cheers/Ben

Wouldn't bother about the cat back system my bros got a 150 series with out the exhaust but has the chip from chip it and a KN filter. He had it on a dyno and went from about the 130 Hp to 190 Hp. He had a race with his mates 100 series v8 petrol land cruiser and smoked it.

Have a google of these guys...they have a chip exhaust special on at the mo....I looked todo some work on my old 100 series but after discussion with them all that had been done to improve fuel economy had been done....in a nut shell they were very helpful and didn't try to sell me something for the sake of it...they missed out on a couple of k,s sale for there honesty....I look at that as a business worth it's gold and worth dealing with...as far as chipping a 150... Is it a boys toy idea, my diesel 150 has enough get up and go...just still getting used to the difference between the 4 cyl two stroke and the 6 cyl operating low speed rev numbers....overall happy with the 150 for now...have fun

I have dealt with the lads at Chip it , can't speak highly enough of their product and service ,although I had work done by the boss,Justin ,when they were a smaller mob ,have grown big ,only due to their rep.

well worth a look ,completely changed my Patrol ...

thanks Andy- yes i've heard a fair bit about chip-it and they seem to fairly popular in the Perth area. Apparently they had a bit of trouble early on with the programming for the 150 series but now i understand they have sorted their shit out.
