Trailer stamp duty.

Here's one for the brains trust. I'm just about to take possession of my new cat trailer ( whoooo hooooo ). My question is do you have to pay stamp duty on a boat trailer?.
Cheers people.

Looks like a fee is payable on the trailer. 6.5% of the value if it's under 4500kg and 3% if it's over 4500kg. In this instance I'm happy she's got a Gvm of 6000kg. Some days it's worthwhile having a bigger boat ( I'm just kidding myself here.... Fu%#$&g boats! )

Of course there is stamp duty on boat trailers, I have paid it on all ones I have ever bought.

I had a bunfight with Chivers as they way overpriced the used trailer on the paperwork so I had to pay heaps of stamp duty.

Caravans are exempt for some strange reason.

Those guys create more harm than good some days, they need to be included in the scheme o things. Even better use that money to get them to do a practical towing endorsement. The amount of times I've been stuck at the end of a line of cars only to see Bob and Meryl at the head of the queue doing their lap of Oz at 70kph with a brand new 200 series as a draggin wagon......

Vans

Us poor pensioners cannot afford to pay rego on vans. Another thing is that is as fast as a 200 will go.
