could be a few straglers around, keep a look out for bait fish and birds hitting the water, but while your out there fish for whatever and have a floater out you never know what might come along

Cheers

but I reckon it might be getting a bit cool for our tuna mates. Just look for birds circling, diving into the water - visually look for the water boiling etc. At this time of year though, you may be looking at salmon rather than tuna!

When you see it, you can cast metal slices into the boil or troll a swimming lure like a Halco Laser Pro 190 or something like it just around the outside out the boil - dont run directly at the fish as they will spook and swim off, just skirt around the outside of it and they will generally chase your lure down.

I was out from Hilly's

I was out from Hilly's weekend before last, massive schools of bait starting around the 30m mark. I went out to the 70's and they where there as well and everywhere inbetween! Massive schools! Nothing touching them though which was annoying. Even the birds were big and fat just sitting on the water. So I dunno where the tuna might be if their not gorging on that lot!

As huggy said mate, they can

Wed, 2011-06-08 19:46

As huggy said mate, they can turn up anywhere! Get behind the 3mile reef and start trolling some small skirts. Either troll along the back of the reef or straight out, both will put u in with a chance.
