I have been thinking it will be slow and theres only a couple of boats out .If it is full on then get there early. and get in early thats the worst as it can takle 2 hours to get back on the trailer . In saying that we will be out at 2 rocks yes.
I think i would be shitting myself a bit if such a big boat was approaching that fast to ride up the trailer!!!!!
Obviously though the guys in the vid are well experienced in doing it though as they dont seem to flinch at all. But yes a smooth well rehearsed/practice launch and retieve if often a fast launch and retieve, making everyone at a ramp happy.
For everyone using the ramps this summer all i can say is have patienece.......lots and lots of it. If you are prepared to be mucked about waiting at a ramp you at least you wont be caught unprepared, if you dont have to wait lucky you :)
And if there are people gining around taking ages launching and retieving, it doesnt harm to go and politely ask if they would like a hand. Usually works faster than sitting back watching them with daggers in you eyes or hurling insults and abuse at them.
Hope to see as little ramp rage this summer as possible. Good luck to everyone getting out this Sunday!!! I have to wait till Monday, working the weekend grrr grumble grrr :P
Another option is leave a little later, say get there at 8.30 and most of the crowd is done by then.
But retrieving, just be patient, no drive on ramp. I have a big boat and she is not a lot of fun to winch on so takes a little longer. The shallowness of the ramp at two rocks does not help with long trailer winching either.

Why only one side?
There's enough room for two lanes on that ramp. Why don't they use both sides? We did years ago

Ive only launched once there
Ive only launched once there but didnt require any advice here.
There was an old boy standing next to the ramp offering plenty of it at the top of his voice-and we were the only ones there!
Give a man a mask, and he'll show you his true face...
The older you get the more you realize that no one has a f++king clue what they're doing.
Everyone's just winging it.
