underwater lights

 hey fellas,

been a while since i have posted anything but i am wondering if any of you guys have underwater LEDs on your boats??

since i am currently rebuilding my dinghy i was wondering if i should worry about spending the extra money, i have seen on TV and internet that green LEDs help attract bait and such things

if anyone has any experience with them i would love to hear your thoughts

Thanks, Nathan

For $15 you can buy 5mtrs of LED strip lighting on Ebay and seal it in some clear tube with a blob of coon at each end....

Thread it through the eyelet you hook the winch onto and you'll have 2.5mtrs down each side of your tinny....

There are a squillion variations you could fuck around with but thats worked for me chasing Squidlys and Gardys on glassy nights....

might be out of scope for the tinny but FYI for others I have my lights mounted to the top of my trim tabs - i had some stainless brackets made up that hold a standard garden pond light (like you get from Bunnings) but i have installed a better quality stainless light i got off ebay a few years ago ex US.
They work great and i can obviously move them up and down on the trim controller.. i cant claim it as my idea - saw it first on a charter boat in Phuket.... :-)
