Upcoming Vanuatu Trip

Hi Guys, in just a little over a month and ill be on my way to Vanuatu fishing with Oceanblue for 4 days. Just got a few questions on which stickbaits/Poppers you would recommend for the Gts and if any others have fished with them before?
Any info would be wicked.

Cheers

just got back from Fiji (have a look at report in fishing holiday/trip section) and probably the standout for me was:
Stickbait (sinking): ASWB90 (170mm)(natural colours worked best)
Poppers: rooster and dumbbell models were great. Something that throws a bit of water. I don’t think colours are as important for poppers, just get the fish excited and they’ll smash anything.

make sure you upgrade all swivels, split rings and hooks if you are using any cheaper brands that come pre-rigged.

Also I had the bottom treble completely ripped out of a halco rooster popper. So it’s just as important to choose poppers and stickbaits with strong internals.

Enjoy your trip, Vanuatu’s on my list!

Hey Glen

As JoRn said, we'll be fishing there for 6 days from Monday morning onwards. Will post up a report when we get back as to which are the favoured lures.

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:

n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or

n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.
