Waterproof sounder for dinghy

Gday guys, does anyone know of a waterproof sounder I can mount to my dinghy? Not after anything super flash just something to display depth and bottom structure to 30m roughly and being in a dinghy its bound to cop a bit of spray. And being a cartopper I'll have to sus out a way to easily remove the transducer too.

Anyone used a Humminbird fishing Buddy??

Thanks for your help

They are worth their salt.

They are worth their salt. You will want to take the sounder off and spray the connectors with inox each time. Any gear goes to rubbish if its left in the sun.

Had a Garmin 160C in my Dory. Not a bad colour unit for around the $350 skins. As salta said always remove the console and spray down terminals. Mount it somewher as protected as possible, a lunchbox, ali box anything you can see thru but is waterproof as possible and unit will last. Units themselves have waterproof ratings, higher the better. good luck mate

Navman in my tinnie for 7 years. Fully waterproof and very reliable. Between $300-$500 for a little ripper. Also had the Navman Radio UHF which would work in a bucket of water and well priced.
