West end magic

Got out early to the westend on Friday -i reckon there were 30-40 boats out wide, picke dup this mack withing about 5 minutes of dropping th elures out, hit a halco crazy deep that was in tight behind the prop wash - trolled for another hour and got nothing so instead of bottom bashing we decided we would head back into to Thommo's - backed up to the beach coffe and the paper -awesome day out !
ps -finally got the hang of posting pics -special thanks to Matt (hlokk) for helping me out :-)

Were you guys the ones out
Were you guys the ones out holding the fish up as we went past? Was out last friday with Uncle and we trolled for 3-4 hours for one tuna, then saw some guys on a glass boat holding up a mackie so trolled around that area and 15-20min later managed to get one. Seemed a lot of the other boats gave up after a while as there were a lot less come late morning. Was a dive charter boat that dropped near where we got one so I wonder if they saw any macks swimming around.

Had the witch doctor out Matt
Had the witch doctor out Matt -my brother inlaw (on board) reckoned it was a load of cr @p - he changed his tune when we landed the fish -i doubt it brought the mack in but he is converted !!
it ran (the w/doctor) really well -it actually goes in big spirals and breaks the surface every 30 seoncs or so -had a nice big splash which at first had us mistaking it for a fish going the lures....

Yeah, pic seems to have
Yeah, pic seems to have dropped out now, but was working before.
Seemed like a Saturday at Hillaries when we launched, not a Friday. Perhaps cause the weather had been crap for the last 2 weeks so a lot of people were itching to get out. Was really nice conditions til the sea breeze came in (as we were heading home and behind us so all easy).
We had the witchdoctor out for 3 hrs for zip. Pulled it in an tried trolling without in case they were spooky. Cant rememebr if we had it still in when we got the mack. Swims straight though. You may need to tune yours. (but then, maybe the splash works)
