Western Derby #46
Submitted by Jackfrost80 on Thu, 2017-07-13 09:16
Derby time and Freo’s bi annual grand final. The tally stands 25-20 in favout of big brother.
Like in any family sometimes the little brother gets a bit brave and tries to take on big brother and may land a few shots before big brother has to remind him who’s boss. After a cute little run of 6 games from Freo big brother has dished out a series of hidings and Sunday is going to be no different and a nice little percentage booster for West Coast.
The new Freo cult hero Millhouse is going to find things a little more difficult this week against an actual backline and a return to form for Darling, Lecca and the return of Kennedy spells danger for Freo who are clinging to the hope that Hamling is going to get up for the game so he can watch Kennedy kick the ball over his head another 6 times.
West Coast by 80 points and Darling to win the Glendenning Medal.

Yeah, your boys missed a few sitters today
Could have been a lot closer if they had taken those opportunities.

Oh well, the boags are still cold, the sun will still be up in the morning. I've picked all 9 for the week and we'll still have the same muppets bombing the ball in next week. Had visitors over and didn't curse too much.

Freo played some of their
Freo played some of their best footy in patches. The next 6 rounds look way too hard and if we win more than two of them, it will be acceptable.

No Yeo, no worries. Appears
No Yeo, no worries. Appears we didn't need to bother manning up on Fyfe as 37% of his disposals didn't hit a target anyway.
I know Randall loves his stats so here's some more: Sideshow Bob was even worse with 9 disposals at 44% DE helping The King to continue to hit some form and Brad Hill was immense with his 50% disposal efficiency and 0.3. Hamling was a lot better at 85% DE... it's shame it was from only 7 touches and his opponent kicked 3.2. I was going through the team sheet and was surprised to see Ballas got 8 touches. Is this an error as I didn't even notice him out there?
I'd also like to offer my apologies to all the players registered in the WAFL. A few weeks ago I referred to Kersten as no better than a WAFL player and I now see how innacurate and hurtful this was to all of the lads playing with a bit of heart in the WAFL.
That's 5 derbies in a row for the boy in blue and gold so you better get the lippy on Freo as you're officially our bitches again.

The Hawks jumper looks exactly the same as the inside of my 2y old’s nappy.
Hey Boon, was it you that refers to Isaac Smith as 'reliable leg'?

Yes very very very reliable
Yes very very very reliable leg on young Isaac.... Just not in front of goal and not playing Geelong and not in the dying seconds of a game or after the siren and not when it is required to win the game and not from 40m out Punt rd end on a slight angle.... Apart from that very very reliable....
Fucking ell Raff.... Seriously.... I havent been confident all year, well apart from when the Eagles travelled to the G but this week i'm brimming with confidence, the Hawks will win by 50 points i reckon, I just dont see where you can kick your goals from?
Walters is pretty much it, well unless you can keep bringing in a first game half back flanker to win for you against the bottom side......
The Hawks have a very solid defensive unit working well now even though the 4 main stayers are out, Burton Hardwick and now Sicily have been very good down there so i cant see you guys kicking a score to be good enough...
Anyone that gets beaten by the Eagles really needs to go back to basics, actually come to think of it Freo have been basic for a long long time, ever since they brought over simple Simon to run the show.....
Simple Simon vs Clever Clarkson its a no brainer, well i mean there is one amongst them......
Clarko struck some form on the wkend vs the cats, not sure if there ended up a hole in the wall but had to have been some damage, not his fault they just dont build things like they used to.... Back when i was a boy the coaches box would be solid granite walls with a 3" thick asbestos roof that you could really sink your teeth into should you need to....
Anyway the only thing Ross will knock over this weekend is another bottle of coke on his mate......

Wishful thinking on my
Wishful thinking on my behalf Boony ..the missing piece of the freo puzzle a KPF and it may be awhile before we land or develop one of those . I think we won the majority of clearances and inside 50’s but just butchered it . Our setup and spread going forward needs some attention the weagles on the rebound were bit more polished in that respect .

Poorly managed , surely we could’ve put some work in to find a nice freo girl to divert his attention from his mum..

Nice Freo girl? Is Adele Carles still dropping her panties for all and sundry?
Depends if Freo want to play hardball with a homesick players and do a complete backflip on their views on GWS letting Mr Potato Head come back to WA. I remember them being quite vocal about the whole situation. Best you can hope for is a 'good will' draft pick to ensure he finds a new home.
