This is what happens with crap weather and too much time..

Got up this morning and weather still crap...
Well decide to go to the shed and look for something to do, well this is the end result.
Normally we would carry the Kayaks across to the beach, this will make that much easier..
Besides picked up some brownie points from the missus...

Nice ride!
Do you strap it down or just rely on gravity?

Yeah strap it down Mate
as I put poly skid plates on the top rails it makes it very slippery, so definitely have to strap it..

Just go to Wellington Surplus
Just go to Wellington Surplus and buy a big leather pistol holster and a pair of used size 15 steel caps from Salvos.
Leave them on the trolley while at the beach
Give a man a mask, and he'll show you his true face...
The older you get the more you realize that no one has a f++king clue what they're doing.
Everyone's just winging it.

I know where you are coming from ..........
Thats great job...
Did same thing but I was a bit lazier/not as handy with welder .... just went to Bunnings, bought a furniture trolley $25 , cut off the bottom plate and ground it clean , bolted on some skid to it, bit of clear tubing on the handles and kayak trolley done ... have 2 so kids strap both on top of each other....
Now you need to make a stand for storage...Mine sit outside so am getting a cover made up from guy who makes sea anchors town in pvc..

When I had the kayak rigged
When I had the kayak rigged up for fishing(now it's all on the Jetski)- I went around the street junk collection and picked up a couple of old prams.
Came back and cut the lower frame and wheels off, then mucked around for awhile until it all fitted onto the kayak.
The best thing about this setup was that it was light enough to strap onto the back of the kayak when I went out,and it was always there when I got back.
My Dad taught me how to Fish-Thanks Dad.(RIP)
