Where are the Oysters?

Hi everyone,I am heading up to Exmouth next week and i would like to know if any one could tell me where the Oysters are.I am told that this is where GTs hang out aswell as at the Naval Jetty.I have been to several tackle shops today and three different guys gave me three different maps (hand drawn) and none of them are even close to each other.

I would really appreciate the right directions on how to get there or any other spots worth trying.

generic!

Oysters is a generic name/area so no "one" spot. As Carvs said, that's part of it!

I'll be up there in a weeks time giving my Weezels poppers a GT work out =)

its a little walk from the main car park .last year i drove the falcon down the track to the left of the carpark and didnt get bogged .. its just over the sand dune at the end of the track if you drive .. if your walking its hard to miss the bloody big rock that juts out into the water .
i tried popping there and got nothing but the water looks good . i did much better at the jetty (no big GT's) but thats a long walk in soft sand

I tried the jetty about 2 months ago and came up empty handed.Although every where we tried we had the same result. The water was very milky in colour and full of seaweed. For the 5 days we were there we managed 2 GTs both about 20cm long and 2 other trevally which i hadnt seen before and they were even smaller.Hopefully i will have better luck next week.

Have a look on Google Earth & go to the Mildara Wreck. You can see some reef to the South East . Switch on the layer for Panoramio and there are some pics there that may assist
