Where to now West Coast?

Well, atleast they have beaten the bottom 6 sides this year

Wet till receipt

Mon, 2013-06-24 17:26

Anyone one else would get 4=5 weeks but seeing he's a grandfather Weegirl he gets hit with a wet cash register receipt. Suppose its so he will keep the side from losing too many more games before season end.

It was a dumb thing to do but I don't think there was a hell of a lot in it. 1 weeks about right.

I'd rather that than have some dog run around pinching me.

It was stupid and looked very low. But I dont think it was as damaging as it looked. Had much worst things happen to me on a Rugby pitch. I am surprised James Horwill got cleared from the stomping, expected at least a week for that, and I bet you the poms head felt more than the hawks players.

He was famous for pinching benny boy from wc. Wasn't very effective cause benny couldn't feel anything. haha

Ryan Crowly... all you knockers are jealous because your soft cock teams carn't handle him.

Great game Ryan and I agree with all the afl coachers who all say they would love to have you in their team. now go get that tosser selweed

not sure how you can go for a team full of dk heads (crowley, ballas and the rest of them), weagles season might be over for me but il be going for whoever plays against those purple nuffys - celebrate like they won a grand final everytime they kick a goal or win a game.

Good on him for admitting. But as the doping rules state ignorance is no excuse. It IS up to the athlete to know what they are taking. Trusting someone to give you something is rather dumb.

Remember when Warny's Dr gave him a diuretic for weight. It was the medico's error to give that to an elite athlete (LOL, the thought of Warne classified as that brings a smile to my face) but Warne was and is guilty for taking it.

Same for Jobe. He will cop a ban, but probably get off lighter for admitting. If the team gets off with a slap on the wrist it will create a precedent that ignorance is OK. And ASADA and ?AFL cant afford that IMO.

Brownlow stripped????

I think the Eagles made the Hawks look good the other nite. If not for all the fumbles & miss kicks & handballs, i think the Hawks may have been rolled. Still not convinced about the Hawks, they have the best run home with only playing 2 teams currently in the eight for the rest of the season. Come finals, i think they may be exposed. As for the Eagles, i think their year is done. 10th is my prediction for the year. They play 8 games against top eight teams in the last half of the year, so i think its just about season over. maybe just scrape into the eight at best.

Would expect the injury list to grow in the next two weeks like it did when they finished last a few years back.

Send them all off for operations that would have normally waited till season end so they have a longer recovery period. Not calling it tanking but its so close to it there's not another word for it.

Tue, 2013-06-25 22:17

Influential players are subject to being tagged every week, part of the game, been so since bread came sliced. They may push the rules on occasions, the umps and the AFL are aware of it. Crowley did what he had to to put the champ off, it potentially won them the game, being a tagger potentially takes some of their own influence (with the ball) away so tit for tat. Im sure Ross will be slippin Crowley the coin to cover the fine, small price to pay. I remember years back, Kelly I think for the Pies had Dunstall behind the goals, off the ground for parts of the game, doesnt just happen to onballers. Harvey cant be relyed upon to carry that team forever

Thu, 2013-06-27 18:02

For those that were at the game on Sunday, you would have seen the treatment that Crowley received as well as dished out, and it wasn't just the throat chop by Harvey. every north Melbourne player within cooee of Crowley knocked him off Harvey at every stoppage. it was a definite tactic to reduce Crowley's influence. what did Crowley do? get up and get on with it. I saw Harvey stay down for extended periods after getting hit (fairly) by Crowley and other dockers (de Boar, Tendai and co). bit of a girl's blouse really.

End result was Harvey had very little influence and Crowley is available to play this week. dockers won danger game. Who gets the chocolates?

Just watch Crowley next time. all he does is stand between his opponent and the stoppage and says, "you want the ball? run around me then."

whats everyone's problem? ever team has someone doing that, it's just fremantle has the best in the business at the moment, just like they have the best defence.

Fri, 2013-06-28 08:50

BT was quite upset the crowd were giving Watson shit ..and spent half the game knocking the crowd and kissing JW's ass and then there was that little tribute after the game .. I thought

the commentary team were going to go down and carrying him off on their shoulders . Regardless of the legalities IMO he was juicing up for one reason and that was to enhance his

performance and Demetrio and crew should pull their finger out rather than leave it in limbo .

Fri, 2013-06-28 11:39

it's a fans right , regardless of what team you follow or hate. People make far to much of this crap - so does Ryan Crowley and the Dockers expect a warm reception next time they play the Roos in Melbourne , you could sit here all day and find examples. If you as a player cant deal with that you need to get out. I have been to several WCE game sin Melbourne and the booing is front and centre.  The AFL might well have set a precedent here, lets see what happens next time a player confesses, or is exposed for banned substances. Will be very interesting. Right or wrong, JW should not have been playing last night - and I dont say that, meaning we would have won if he wasn't playing (Although it might have helped )

Fri, 2013-06-28 09:56

I expected the crowd to boo him, but im more in critisizm of WC fans booing every decision against them (as always) as it hindered in their teams chance of victory lol and the members satisfation for being loyal. Inspired is the clubs moto, no wonder they dont win at home, nothing inspirational about that crowd. Unsociable and uneducated. And whats even more of a laugh is the 'supporters' willing to write teir season off, um, they can still make the finals.....I would be pleased with where they are positioned if I was a fan going on what players they have lol....still plenty of footy left this year

Why do wce fans boo every

Fri, 2013-06-28 13:35

Why do wce fans boo every decision against them? To pressure the white maggots n get stats like this....

total free kicks awarded per team per year, with rankings:

2013 (so far): wce 250 - ranked 1st

2012: wce 532 - ranked 2nd (by 2 kicks)

2011: wce 548 - ranked 1st

2010: wce 489 - ranked 1st

Shame champion data won't let you filter it down further to home games, as I suspect the stats would be even more incriminating...

Fark, they must be the hardest team at the ball ever (even when they mainly stand around watching it like this year and '10 especially) to get those sort of numbers year in, year out...

My point? Sorry, thought it was obvious but i didn't take in to account ur an eagles supporter... I'll explain myself and speak slllooowwwwlllyyyy.....

Tim-o: "I'm more in criticsm of wc fans booing every decision against them (as always)"....

My opening line: "why do wce fans boo every decision against them? To pressure the white maggots n get stats like this"

and then stats showing how they end up at the very top of the free kick count, year in, year out, regardless of how well they play or the style they play in....

(thought I'd put this into words in case you struggle with numbers as well...)

... Does that make my point obvious or would you like me to draw a picture...?

As that was directly aimed at me i thought id better respond - I think me and Paully have both been the first to put our hands up and say we havent played good enough, not making any excuses at all about our teams performance, we were simply not good enough.

Not sure who you are trying to impress with the stats etc but they might good for one of thos quiz nights (the one where the blokes that knows a hell of alot about nothing wins). but please as you look to be very creative and intelligent please draw a picture to help us slow west coast supporters understand what you mean?

im sorry but if the umpire makes the decisions is that us west coaster supporters fault?? i dont think you can sit back and tell me that no other team boos when the opposition gets a free kick?

Just out of interest who do you support?

anyway thats it from me - i think this topic has run its race, lets get back to talking about fishing, any hints and tips would be appreciated Quobbarockhopper.

Passengers

Sat, 2013-06-29 17:16

Plenty of passengers in the black and white this week Paully. A few fingers need to be extracted going forward from here, like to think we can still roll the next four though.

One highlight was Billy's mark, not a bad hangar that one.

Really enjoyed Dwayne Russell's commentary too.

HAHA, quobba, nice stats, imagine how many more they wouldav gotten last night if Shuey and Selwood had of been playen, hell, they wouldav gotten over the line I reckon like against the Roos. Think its all gettn to em a bit sniff sniff. Heres some advise WC fans, no expectations, no dissapointments. I guess theres still the hope of Freos non success that you can get some enjoyment from, but that aint going for you either lol

Fri, 2013-06-28 19:17

West coast fans booing an alleged illegal substance user when they gave cousins a standing ovation and named a wing after a bloke who died of a drug overdose - and don't try and tell me stimulants (which a bunch of their premiership team used and abused) are not performance enhancing. Maybe they should take cousins brownlow off him.

As a bombers supporter nothing better than being at the game watching the faces of the eagles supporters last night, it was gold.

Not having a go at him, mainwaring and cousins are 2 of the eagles players I always liked. It was a reference to the short term memories of the fans.

Fri, 2013-06-28 20:08

Timmbo you knob it wasn't the fans who named the wing after Mainwaring. As I said before do you honestly reckon he (Watson) wouldn't have gotten the same reception if the game was played against another club? He set himself up for a fall. The cat's out the bag, the club is in the shit, face up to it and stop sooking.

For a club that's in the shit, they are playing like none of it matters.....I dont think Watto would have gotten booed anywhere as bad as at Subi against WC. Seems these kind of supporters are out numbering nowdays lol

And to make matters worse, I think I saw a Collingwood flag waving haha
And if they didnt Boo so bad, then we wouldnt have such a bloody wide page as we do now lol, too many big Os

Fri, 2013-06-28 20:55

That dickhead doesn't even have Eagles colours (probably his son in the Pies jumper) and the Eagles supporters were telling him to piss off. Don't get me wrong I like Watson , but as said he's bought this down on himself. If Essendon think they have got themselves covered they should have proven this before he talked. Medussa's box has been opened, heads and premiership points will roll.

Fri, 2013-06-28 19:20

across Australia. Please tell me a nastier support base in this land than wc

The gutless dicks in white appease them all the time and piss every other supporter off.

That to**er coxy chucks his arms out if you as much as touch him crying he held me. Ups ablige and bow down to him.

What about the chemist [ didn't hear any booing ] wtf

Hey take a look at Fremantles fans who are always respectful of other teams player group and well behaved almost always.

I've found Eagles fans compartively polite as opposed to Dockers fans...they seem overly obsessed with calling every opposition player 'fags'. Must be the extent of their witty repertoire.

Oh no tim-o dont tell me your mob is into it too

Fri, 2013-06-28 21:21

I close friend who i trust enough to start a thread, told me the she was in epworth pharmacy at the same time as Josh Gibson.

He went upto the counter and took the unknown prescription to the counter asking to purchase it. The pharmacist responded by mentioning it was an illegal prescription for professional sports persons. Josh followed by claiming his friend was his G.P and it was all clear by him. The idiot pharmacist then replied " oh ok, no worries" and sold Josh the prescription.

Shoot it down all you like, call BS. But the person I spoke to has absolutely no interest in football, no hidden agenda and absolutely no reason to lie. I have no information as to what the prescription was apart from the pharmacist saying it was illegal to pro sportsperson.I found this more humorous than a scandal.

Fri, 2013-06-28 22:17

No interest in Footy, but can identify an AFL player in public. Spun out, same happened to someone i know, only she works at a Pharmacy. Zac Dawson came in scratching his face and she reccommended something to treat the crabs he caught from sucking Ross Lyons cock. It all makes sense now, I couldnt work out how he gets a game each week
