Plenty of options LB
Beaches south side of town or north of the marina will all turn up the regular stuff - tailor, whiting, herring, rays and the chance of a mulloway. Southern point, opposite the islands is worth a look.
I believe the end of the southern marina wall is the one to fish and jetties are always worth a go - can turn up anything, also an option for squid.
I seldom fish there as it's just a stop for food these days, someone may have some more up to date info. :-)

Jetty if looking for a
Jetty if looking for a relaxing spot (aside from the crowds), marina rock walls also produce regularly, both can produce mulloway, sharks, etc. beaches south of the jetty and north of the marina are worth a shot for smaller stuff as well as the possibility of something larger
Live baits are generally the go if chasing something decent as there are quite a few pickets off the jetty and marina
