Down to Wilbinga for a tailor sesh this morning. Saw the fairly stiff southerly predicted by seabreeze for the morning, but they always overestimate the wind in the morning right? Out the door by 3:15am and deflating by 4 I was making good time. Wondered why I didn't see many people camping on the way through, worked it out as soon as I saw the water. Bloody weed everywhere and wouldn't you know it seabreeze got it right for a change.

Started baitcasting but that was a no go, swapped to a heavier rod and a pink richter to stay over the weed then worked hard walking the beach for an hour or so before finally picking up a fish. Weed finally started clearing, dunno if the tide helped with that or what but it made things easier. Saw some bait fish getting harassed just 10 meters from shore, so back to baitcasting still on the heavy rod and got another that spewed up little baitfish once landed. Pressure was off so swapped back to a st croix trout rod I picked up in Canada that is bloody great fun on choppers. Rigged a silver halco twisty to "match the hatch" and the last fish put up a much better account of itself than the first 2 with some cool acrobatics. Not a big fish 40-45cm odd but much fatter than the last and a good way to finish.

Home by 10am with a couple for bait and one for a feed, bloody stoked. Hopefully can turn them into something bigger on Saturday night if things go to plan.
