Don't understand "can't justify fees at CBC," they are under $400 dollars per year, cheaper than new tyres or paintenance on your boat or trailer, have security cameras and a Bosun that lives on the premises 24/7, don't understand some people, spend thousands on a boat, thousands on fishing gear then moan about club fees (or getting broken in vandalaised on the public ramp carpark,) that are under $400 dollars a year, can hire the club rooms out for a small fee, showers/tiolets, wash down area, bbq's, can park your boat over night in the marina (water/electricity) with floating jetties, launche with floating jetties or if you have a caravan stay for 14days, all for just under $400 per year, CCTV all around the whole area of the club and if you hard stand your boat also CCTV's for extra security and you have the key to get into the hard stand, separate from other club members. No one who can fix it , will!
How many years has this been going on around the ammo jetty and surrounds.
If a cop cars or council vehicles were getting there tyres slashed and windows broken every week in the same
location , how long before a arrest you reakon?
Its a sad day when a family cant even go for a evening fish off a beach or jetty in Perth , cause
theres a good chance of car damage.
Little pricks, If I ever catch one , smashing my hard earned gear, jail here we come.

It was between 23:00 an 5 this morning, done about 8 over nighters never had any trouble then this...... Not sure might have pissed someone off because they "accidentally" hooked a dolphin and I said "what fuck nut hooked the dolphin?" Who knows???!!! Or maybe just vandalism?! My car was not the only car around at that time...... Thanks for your concern..... The cops just need to make a turn into the car park once in a while, presence is a big thing or some CCTV ..... Should not have to worry when fishing

It's a Sh#t that you cant go
It's a Sh#t that you cant go out for a fish without this happening.
It seems to be a favourite past time slashing tyres. A bloke a work got all four Maxi Bighorns slashed in his driveway. There were 12 other cars on his street that got done. That was in the North burbs.
I dont need counselling just a bigger boat

Election announcement
Saw Troy Buswell sprout out an election promise on the news yesterday that they were going to put in 300 metres of new road and improve parking at the ramp but nothing on making it safer for the punters who park there. Someone should get on their case and let them know what is happening while they are still making public promises.

They just recently redone the road outside the shop ...I noticed a traffic counter cord running across it as well ?? might be counting their potential bikkys ..this is CPBC live cam which points out from the opposite side ...surely wouldn't be too hard to setup similar on the carpark

I wrote a letter to the Management Committee regarding putting a CCTV on our ramps, also pointing to the public ramp area as well. Unfortunately the committee of the CPBA knocked it back due to privacy laws or privacy for our Club members, thought their decision was a load of crock, as their are heaps of CCTV's in Perth, shopping centres, banks, beaches, roads, freeways etc, but they are the managing committee and volunteers to boot.
The camera that is at the entrance to the Club grounds (Gate) is for members to see what the ocean is like, wind, whether to come down fishing or not. As some of our full members live in Caversham, Swan Valley, Armadale, Gosnells, north of the river, quite a way from the Club.
Maybe if enough CBPA full members wrote letters to the committee, they may change their mind, they meet on the second Tuesday of every month, except January. As it would be another good angel to look at the Sound, plus how busy the public carpark/ramp is.

Well said Roberta, totally
Well said Roberta, totally agree.. CBC worth the small investment, and having someone like the bosun is very handy to aid in boating, saves heaps of time and great co-ordination on the ramp :) I am a happy member!

thanks, we've been members since 1982 hahahah old fart was sick of launching at the public ramp, I just can't understand how people think the club is expensive, would love them to try and join at Fremantle sailing club,(6 months probation before you become a full member for starters) even though you may be a member there you have to pay to launch/retrieve your boat, apparently we are the cheapest club on the west coast and one of the rare clubs that cactually has secure parking for you trialer/car while out fishing, our members get a lot for just under $400 per year, which johno you would know.
Not bagging other fishing clubs, just love our club and what their is for members that are their to enjoy with your annual club fees besides launching, retrieving and washing down your boat before going home.
