Wyndham Barra
Been really hot with little rain here in KNX so the Lower Ord has been fishing slow.
Alternately we have been hitting a few locals creeks in Wyndham.
Still stinking hot but at least the Barra have been obliging.
Once we found the honey hole it was all action stations
Keen to engulf the whole classic
We were casting deep diving lures over a mud bank and giving a couple of quick cranks to get the lure to hit the bottom and then pause the lure.....
seconds later the Barra would engulf them
Plastics worked well and the mongrels accounted for plenty of fish but was mainly slowly bouncing them down the bank and then slowly roll them along the bottom.
Unlike the last trip we got all the Barra on the bottom, no shallow runing lure was touched.
Probably a good 20 plus fish in the boat in a few hours, biggest going 80.
Trip before that was simply tie up on the wood and drop the Trans am down, jig and bull the Barra and Fingermark out, we have pulled plenty of fish jigging!
