I can vouch for that. I
I can vouch for that. I bought a box off Dave at the start of the year and it's going strong! I didn't buy one of those sub zero boxes because I heard some pretty average reports about them. Dave backs his boxes 100% too so if there was ever a problem (highly unlikely!) he will get it sorted for ya!

Yes Dodgy
We will have some new XT 50litre marble boxes available mid December. We are also bringing in a cube box in the 50litre. I will advise when they are close and the website will also get a well needed upgrade as well. Love the quality Rodrat and support thanks guys. Hekser, that's a great price. I hope it works well for you. The XTWC 150 is part of our premium range and comes with much thicker walls than most other standard boxes. I can only do, what i can do.
Thanks for the support and opportunity to have a real go. Wazzbat, glad to hear it's going well. Caught any good fish to put in it yet?
Cheers guys
Dave

Just the big Dhuie earlier
Just the big Dhuie earlier in the year - I probably needed the 150L for it though but I'm not one to brag. Haven't been out fishing in months. Hope to fill it full of Mandurah Crabs soon though?

can i ask, how thick?
are these thicker walls? whats the inside dimension? i'm not knocking you, i shopped around for a few weeks and i did contemplate buying from the site sponsor.. its just money talks and an extra 100$ in my pocket is better off to me than you.. if the box fks up and turns out to be a piece then the jokes on me and ill be the first to call it shit...
i havent heard any negative feedback on these sub zero boxes wazzbat - what have you heard? they seem to be a very sturdy box, i cant see much going wrong with it... its 2 pieces of molded plastic.... ???
also what sets these specific coolers apart from every other brand out there? the fact you are a site sponsor? the sticker? *puzzled* they are imported and not australian made... :(

Hesker - I think it was
Hesker - I think it was Choice or maybe a 4x4 magazine or something. It was mainly to do with the ice holding capabilities from memory. The ice didn't last as long in those boxes compared to other cheaper ones around. It all depends on how/what you're using it for I guess? My Extreme Coolers box keeps the ice for days so it will be good when I go camping early next year and it has been great sitting in the sun all day out in the boat too.

A few answers
The current technology available in the rotomolded cooler box ranges at the moment should come with anti delamination adhesion and UV protection.
These two elements are very important as before this technology was available, many boxes did have a common problem with the plastic outer cell coming away from the foam. I think the 150litre you are referring to Hekser, comes from the PM factory. The PM factory are a very reputable factory and mainly produce stock in the older shape and mold. I have visited this factory and all looked pretty good. You might be able to see the factorys name on the back of the hinges.
I bring in two different styles of plastic boxes. The standard range is very similar to the model you have Hekser, except our model has different styling that makes the edges rounder instead of square. In the standard range we have the XT 180litre for $250.00. The colours you and Adam have mentioned (blue, orange) are part of what we call a standard colour. This also includes yellow, green and red. Any other colour such as my marble range come at a much higher cost to purchase.
The XT 180 has a wall thickness of 34mm and lid thickness of 75mm. Your 150 is likely to be 30mm wall and 67mm lid. The XTWC premium range is a new model that is designed with new patent hinges, thicker walls, textured finish that is a harder compound that is better against the suns rays, rubber feet, two carrying options and is made using the best quality aluminium molds which provide a much better join and overall finish.
The XTWC 150 has a wall thickness of 60mm which will be close to twice the thickness of most standard boxes. The new design also has no recess on the lid which means there is no recess in the capacity of the box. All standard range boxes have a recess on the lids which is good for extra strength if required. I will confirm inner measurements asap as i have two different types of data at the moment.
One thing you can be sure of is you will get the full capacity in the premium range and you will not in the standard range if that makes any sense. I hope i have explained why the XTWC range is more expensive than the standard range. Keep on fishing Hekser and i hope that primo fish comes your way.
Thanks to all, I love the site. It is guys like Hekser who encourage me to work harder. Competition is everything.
Cheers
Dave

Inner dimensions
Hi Hekser
Inner dimensions for you.
Top Dimensions
L:814, W: 435, H:434
Bottom Dimensions
L: 802, W: 424, H: 434
There is a difference between the two because of the shape of the box which allows for extra space towards the top.

Hi Feral
Have sent you a PM as well.
Hi Feral
The wall thickness for the XTFG range are as follows:
Wall Lid Weight
50litre 40 41 12
80litre 40 48 15
110litre 40 45 18
As you can see, there is no difference between the wall thicknesses. The glass walls do not need to be very thick as the Fibreglass cell is the important factor rather than it thickness. The other important element of the XTFG range is the gell coat exterior. This is a compound that does a great job in repelling the suns rays. Thanks for the interest and support.
