Xzoga Taka Pi7525 In Stock and PE3-4 popping blank available now.

Just to let you guys know that we now have the Xzoga PE5 popping rods available and also the PE3-4 popping blank for those keen to have one custom build. Both rods and blank are 7ft 6in and joined at the handle.

The PE3-4 popping blank would be ideal for queenfish, mac tuna's and the likes. Like all Xzoga rods and blanks they are built tough and powerful. They are light and cast poppers and metal lures very well so you can do it all day.

For more information get in touch with Brenz at The Tackle Shack. Or send me a PM and i'll be glad to help you with any questions on our rods.

now this sounds like a nice blank ... are they pretty stiff overall ?? .. i prefer them to not bend too much while imparting action to the poppers ... then again i have no idea what im doing :)

guessing they would suit the new stella 4000 and 5000 ok ?

You'll need the PE5 if you're looking at using chugger style poppers. And that goes well with the Stella 8000. This rod has landed big GT's when they were tested near some Oil Rigs off the waters of Malaysia. Getting them of reefs you'll need something with a bit more grunt and we're working on a PE8-10 now.

The PE3-4 blank has a softer tip so you'll be looking at smaller surface lures and metal slices.

There are warranty on our Xzoga rods and blanks from manufacturing defects. But if you snap them with your car door sorry mate but not to worry even then we may be able to work something special out by rebuilding you one with your existing components for a fee.Smile

xzoga 7525 details

Sun, 2009-01-25 22:57

Hi guys, sorry to revive an old thread, but I was after some info on the Xzoga 7525. Would it be ok casting smaller poppers around 50g (Say, poppers like a medium-sized yo-zuri surface cruiser with big hooks), and slices around the 50-60g mark? I want something to match pe4, a Twinpower 8000 and poppers from 50-100g. Also, any idea of the length of the rod when dismantled?

Cheers Ian

Sorry for the late reply

Sorry for the late reply Ian, been busy lately and missed your post. For what you want to do i would recommend you the Xzoga Pi 7523 rated for PE3 as that would cast 50 to 100g comfortably. The Pi7523 will be too stiff to cast 50g  as it is more suited to 100-150g.

When dismantled it's 165cm.

Thanks

Thanks greatly...very impressive looking rods I must say. Love the skinny blanks. I saw a youtube vid showing some kiwis pulling the living daylights out of some big kingfish with the 7525 (I think). Wow. I am not in Oz at the moment, but will be in Qld in a couple months. Is there a Qld stockist yet?

Cheers Ian
