Yamaha F60 Oil Capacity

The Yammy manual says it should take 2.5 litres, and the dipstick oil level should read halfway up the hashed part of the dipstick.
(including new filter)
I only put in 2 litres and its halfway up the dipstick.
Should I be worried, the manual mentions that the sump is tapered smaller at the top, so not to over do the filling.

I guess it may depend on how
I guess it may depend on how well old oil was drained.
Anyway, if after several minutes oil level seats at the same level, start the engine and warm it up for 5 minutes. Stop, check level again. Add oil as required. By the by, Yamaha F60 needs 2.5L without oil filter change, 2.7L with oil filter replaced.

Tilt the motor right up and
Tilt the motor right up and let sit for 30 seconds and then back down once you think it has completely drained. Sometimes a couple of hundred more mls of oil will come out. Usually half way up the dipstick with 2.5l and new filter.

I owned a f60 for 10 years
I owned a f60 for 10 years which never missed a beat before upgrading to a f90,I put in approximately recommended amount and changed the oil filter
from memory it would read around the full mark but once I ran the motor for a few minutes shut the motor down
and check oil again dipstick would read half to 3/4 which when I googled changing oil on a Yamaha that was the correct level
they did say do not treat the outboard dipstick Like a cars dipstick
