I used to catch them off the old collie river bridge when i was a kid.great looking fish with that purple colouring have seen some horses pulled out of the collie but never got a big one myself. hooked a big one out the front of Houghs farm house one night but i zigged when it zagged and that was all she wrote.

Where?
Where did you get them?
The planking looks like it was on the old pipeline/jetty by the titanium dioxide plant.

Lechenault inlet
By lechenault inlet i mean the waterway that the parade sits on.
I got these off the boardwalk on the other side of the estuary from the parade casting into the mangroves with soft plastic canarvonite, i don't know where you mean?
Hey nimbin, them soapies go pretty hard on 1000 size reels and 4lb braid.
Redfin_4_life: they are juvenile mulloway, any mulloway under 60cms is called a soapie because they're protective slime smells like soap at that size.

Carnarvonite means that rock
Carnarvonite means that rock jetty between Clifton Park and Australind which now has a wooden platform at the end..there used to be a jetty that went all the way across the estuary to belvedere with a pipe line on it from the chemical plant there that has had too many names for me to remember.
used to paddle out there in a canoe and fish off it good KG whiting years ago.

Lol Oh yeah
Yeah that chemical plant inbetween eaton and australind cant seem to make up their mind on the name, they change it every year.
But thats on the lechenault estuary, I was fishing in the inlet in bunbury that the flood-gates feed into, the waterway right next to the bunbury skatepark and centre point shopping centre, except way further up past the parade.
