Hi everyone. Here are my little fishies from my first Abrolhos trip with Craig & my little mate Jeff from Saltwater Charters... 10 sleeps to go and counting until the next one. I have already started packing... I am sooooo sad! :)

Skipper was calling it a sand snapper. Painted sweetlips I think is the technical name? They put up a reasonable fight. Not sure how they are on eating, I think they're ok, but why take them when you have dhuies, pinkies, spanglies, trout, etc :p.
And no chance of outfishing me Helen, hehe.

Just keep him busy tying rigs for you while you do the fishing.
Spilling a bottle of sunscreen in his jig bag wouldn't go astray either.

nothing wrong with putting something extra in the cake to put the boys of a bit, i would not call that cheating,, just bad cooking,, thats what you tell them anyway.

Yeah just been pretty busy with work. Too many shows on at the moment. I left for the Abrolhos the night of the Cat Stevens gig and got to Gero early hours of Friday morning. Luckily there are no shows before my next trip, so I am taking all of the time off so i get there early. How's Jesse going? You both been catching much fish lately?

Not specifically, but could get dropped off somewhere and fish nearby. Oliver went for a snorkel at anchor last time and apparently saw heaps (big baldies, steep dropoff to nothingness, etc). Next year they should have a proper tinny (have a RIB atm) as a tender, so could have two people take that somewhere then call to the mothership when done :p.
As long as the people on board dont mind, you can pretty much choose to do whatever you want.

If and when I ever go back to the Abrolhos I will need a lot bigger memory cards as you would not see me much on the boat. Would be too busy taking pics UW. Damn that place is awesome

another name for that mowie is a slate bream and another, mother in law. they pull hard aye. I have been wondering where you had dissapeared to. bigger boats are alot more comfortable to fish on than little boats aye. all the best for the next trip. matt fish hard and win well!! haha
