Holiday snaps

Holiday snaps

Solo session inside  FFB in 10m yesterday morning, drifting and hoping for a snapper. A few 40cm snapper first up. Then a decent run ended with a pinkie of about 70cm alongside, but the leader cut through on its teeth as I reached for the net. Was  only fishign for an hour, so very happy to get my bag. Seemd plenty around and hungry. They took three different baits; a mulie, a herring fillet and a Gulp soft plastic.

Good fish! They go hard in shallow water and taste great on the plate.

Must be a few around

 Thanks Rob

The 2 fish I  kept went 70 and 65cm. Lost the first, slightly bigger one, at the boat. Given it was such a quick burst of activity there must have been a school all around the same size passing through. Great fight over the shallow reef and sand patches , which you could see under the boat. Family loved the feed. One more week for another chance!

A couple of beauties well done. Heaps out there aye from right close inshore and also plenty out in 130m-150metres too. Lots of smaller ones everywhere as well.
